The University Grand Commission (UGC) has published new guidelines for exams and academic calendars for all colleges and universities. Due to the threat of COVID infection, the academic session has also been delayed this year and the examinations have not been held on time. The commission has issued guidelines for all colleges and universities to regulate the entire session.

New guidelines mention that admissions to first-year courses for 2021-22 are to be finished by no later than Sept 30 and the academic session to start by Oct 1.

The commission has said that admissions in first-year courses for the 2021-22 session will have to be completed by 30 September. Admissions on the remaining vacant seats will have to be completed by October 31. Apart from this, all universities and colleges will also have to start a new academic session from October 01. The exam will have to be completed online, offline, or in mixed mode by August 31.

The UGC has recognized that for admission to UG courses, it is necessary to release the 12th board exam results. Since all the boards are going to release their board results by 31st July, the admission in graduate courses should be completed by the next one month i.e. 30th September. The right to decide on the semester exam or semester break will remain with the institute.

DU admission from August 02 Delhi University will start the registration process for its undergraduate courses from 02nd August and for postgraduate courses from 26th July. This year the whole admission procedure will be online. Students desirous of getting admission will have to check the updates on the official website of the university at du.ac.in.
