HOW GOOGLE GOT HIS NAME?

Both the students made an address google.stanford.edu on which they created a search engine. Before launching it officially as a search engine, both the students decided to name the engine ‘backrob’. But the name was later decided as ‘GOOGLE’.

WHY THE NAME GOOGLE?

Sergey and Larry named the search engine Google because googol was a common spelling for the viewers. Moreover, they decided on this name because they found the name accurate to run the engine for a long time. Google was registered as a Domain name on 15th September 1998.

GOOGLE’S BIRTHDAY ON SEPTEMBER 27

However, the founders registered it as a company on 5th September 1998. On 27th September, several pages were searched on the platform. So, this day is celebrated as Google’s birthday.
