Delhi University’s School of Open Learning students and Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) members demand to postpone the DU SOL exams. They held a protest outside the SOL campus on 23 November 2021.
Moreover, another issue they raised is the provision of printed study materials. As the activists claim that no study material was provided to them. Also, online classes were not conducted. KYS members stated that the preparation online material was given but it was incomplete.
In addition, they alleged that the exam schedule is circulated by the administration without considering students. As most of the students do not have access to study material.
Activists shouted slogans while holding demands posters and banners in front of the SOL building. The union also releases a statement wherein they list their issues. Further, they gave a memorandum to the Principal of the SOL. The memorandum was regarding the urgency of the demands by a KYS organization and students.
According to the activist’s statement, “SOL students do not have access to E-classes. However, regular students have access to online classes. Consequently, it is generating stress and anxiety among students for exams due to lack of preparation.”
