NITI Ayogya has launched an online course free of cost. The course is open for school students under Atal Innovation Mission. According to announcements, the course title ‘ATL App Development Module’ has been initiated in collaboration with the Indian Homegroup start-up Plezmo.
With the free online course under the AIM flagship the Atal Tinkering Labs endeavor, the school students will be provided skill to be app makers rather than app users.
NITI Aayog CEO, Amitabh Kant, shared his views while speaking about the online course. He stated that our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has been motivating citizens to opt for online and use technology and innovation. These steps will add the contribution of Aatm Nirbhar Bharat.
He further added that it is significant for the young in the country to learn abilities at a young age and enable themselves to become the next generation of technology commanders.
Under the Atal Tinkering Lab initiative, AIM, NITI Aayog is undertaking the ATL app Development Module for the young minds in the country, the CEO further told.
The online module consists of 6 project-based learning modules and online monitoring sessions. In this, students can learn to build modern applications. Also, apps can be developed in various languages.
School teachers will be given periodic Teacher Training rounds for performing the courses online.
These ATLs are devoted to the innovation workspaces where DIY kits on the latest technologies like 3D Printers, Robotics, Internet of Things, Miniaturized Electronics are initiated using the grant received from the union for the students from Class 6 to 12.
As per data accessible, more than 5100 ATLs have been organized in more than 600 districts across the nation by Atal Innovation Mission with more than 2 Million learners provided with access to the Tinkering Labs.
