National Digital University: As per the reports, the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) are discussing on setting up a new digital university in the next academic session. For this, a total of 4 central universities across India are shortlisted to make them the final location of the National Digital University.

Further, the central universities which are included in the hub of new digital universities are top-ranked Indian universities. According to the NIRF ranking, the top institutes are IIT Madras, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Delhi University (DU) and also Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

National Digital Marketing based on Hub and Spoke model

According to reports, the digital marketing university initiative will base on the ‘hub-and-spoke’ model. Moreover, the NDU will award the degrees to candidates. The university will offer various unique courses or programs, and they will get assessments in different formats.

Also, the enrolled students have to appear for the exams conducted by the varsity. The most important thing is to note that admissions will begin in June next year. But, the admission procedure and other details haven’t been released yet. 

Besides, Nirmala Sitharaman (India Finance Minister) gave the proposal of national digital university during the union budget of 1 February 2022. She proposed it to deliver the best quality and universal education to all students across the country.
