In government and private schools, the National Assessment Survey (NAS) will be conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) soon. The aim is to assess the learning skills of children.
This survey will cover lakhs of children in over 700 districts. Moreover, assessing the learning skills of children will help to find out what changes need to be done in the curriculum.
The subjects Maths, Science, EVS, and more are the basis to assess the learning capability of students. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister announces that possibly the National Assessment Survey will be conducted in November 2021.

Further, the NCERT conducts National Sample Survey (NSS) to assess children of 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 10th Classes. Before this, the NSS was held on 13 November 2017 and covered over 22 lakh students of 3rd, 5th, and 8th classes.
Later, on 5 February 2018, the NSS was held for Class 10th. The NCERT also gives counseling to deal with the mental health concerns of the students in the schools.
The NCERT’s officials and experts will connect with the students online with students of classes 6th to 11th. Therefore, help them to handle their mental and social problems.
Moreover, as the schools are reopening after the pandemic, the NCERT said, “We want to help students to deal with Covid-19 challenges. Class 6th to 11th students can connect through NCERT’s YouTube channel and PM eVidya DTH TV channel. Also, students can interact live with experts every Friday on toll-free numbers 8800440559, 8448440632.”
