MSDE has revealed its skill boost initiative plans in a recent conference. It has unveiled a host of ambitious initiatives and partnerships. These initiatives aim to enhance the skill ecosystem.
These efforts involve forging partnerships through MoU between MSDE and diverse entities.
Overview of MSDE skill boost initiative
On March 14, 2024, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship introduced numerous initiatives. They aim to accelerate the growth and efficiency of the skill ecosystem. These initiatives include forging partnerships via Memorandums of Understanding between MSDE and various entities. These entities encompass the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, the North Eastern Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation (NEHHDC), the North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation (NERAMAC), the I-Hub Centre at IIT-Mandi, the North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), and Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS).

Partnerships with Diverse Entities
The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (Niesbud) has entered into a MoU with the Department of Food and Public Distribution. Niesbud is a division under MSDE. Additionally, partnerships between Niesbud and the Ministry of Labour and Employment are in progress. Ongoing efforts complement these partnerships in promoting the export of handicrafts.
Significant Achievements Under NSDC
Atul Kumar Tiwar, the secretary of MSDE, was also present. He stressed that this collaboration signifies significant achievements by the NSDC. It is done under the guidance of Dharmendra Pradhan. He is the Cabinet Minister for Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship. Pradhan consistently roots for collaboration with industry and training institutions. This aims to enhance ongoing scaling endeavors.
Additionally, there are upcoming plans to introduce four modern courses in some categories. Categories are Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G Technician, Cybersecurity, and Data Annotation through the Directorate General of Training (DGT). This is accompanied by an exchange of a MoU between DGT and the Future Right Skills Network. Another significant launch is the NIMI Mock Test application 2.0. It is crafted to assist ITI students in preparing for exams.
