PGDAV College is one of the reputed colleges when talking about the off-campus colleges of Delhi University, located in Nehru Nagar, but to maintain some more dignity, generally, students say, “LAJPAT NAGAR ME HAI HAMARA COLLEGE, LADY SHRI RAM KE PASS ME HI HAI”…Well, nearest metro station to college is Vinobapuri on pink line (The favorite line of PGDAV girls). The life at PGDAV is Cool. There are numerous things that PGDAVians endorse at.

CANTEEN
“DU KI SABSE BADI CANTEEN” – A proverb that every PGDAVian speaks while giving an intro about their college. The canteen is spacious to cover the class groups but usually, the corner tables are occupied by the college couples who whisper “BAABU- SHONA” and irritates everyone sitting nearby, by discussing their love life….You can even find students studying and completing their assignments in the college canteen. From Samosa to Idli Dosa you can get everything here…
But nowadays this canteen is facing competition from “Ground wali chhoti canteen” as the food there is finger-licking!!!
THE POLITICS(ELECTIONS)
One thing that PGDAV College is famous for is its politics. The hustle between jaat and Gujjars to win elections has been always a great fascinating thing that every PGDAVian has experienced. During election time the college premises turns into a campaign battleground. Be it the college lobby or bank area, every place is covered with pamphlets that are used as promotion tactics by the candidates.
THE TWO ENTRY GATES
The two entry Gates of PGDAV College, one for teachers and the other one for students. The teacher’s gate is located about 50 meters from the metro station and the student’s gate is 150 meters away from it. The students find very much difficulty coming from the second gate as they are already late for the classes and further they have to cover extra 150 meters to reach college. Many students try to enter through the teacher’s gate but the harsh gatemen catch them easily.
HUSTLE BETWEEN OLD AND NEW BUILDING
Usually, the commerce classes in PGDAV College are held in the old building while the art classes go through in the new building.
Students in the old building fascinate and show their desire to get the classes in the new building.

THE MORNING CLASSES CONTINUOUS TILL EVENING
The main thing that the PGDAV students are curious to know why the morning classes continue till the evening. The evening college starts usually at 3:00 p.m. while the morning classes go on till 5:00 pm. You can easily hear students saying “YAR HUM MORNING COLLEGE MEIN HAI YA EVENING COLLEGE MEIN, ISSE BETTER TO HAM EVENING COLLEGE MEIN HI ADMISSION LE LETE”
FACULTY
The best thing PGDAV has is its faculty. The hardworking and “DAILY CLASSES LENE WALI TEACHERS” is what we are blessed with. The teachers are cooperative with students, the best ones which have the rope of success of PGDAV are Dr. Rajni Jagota, Dr. Sonia Sabharwal, Dr. Gurucharan Sachdeva, Ms. Priyanka Khanna, Ms. Monika Saini, and Dr. Seema Aggarwal. The teachers are helpful in co-curricular activities too.
THE MORNING AND EVENING LIBRARIES
PGDAV College provides evening classes too. As morning students think them superior “KYU KI BOARDS ME MARKS ZYADA AYE THE” as compared to the evening ones. But there is one thing the evening students cherish about and that is their library. The evening library is far better than the morning one, as it is fully AC with good infrastructure while the morning students have to click thrice to get on their ceiling fans even the infrastructure of the morning library is not as much as good as the evening library.

Well PGDAV College has public transport at walking distance. The nearest metro station Vinobapuri is 150 meters to the right of the college and the bus stand is within 50 meters from the student’s gate. But unlikely “Students fir bhi late aate hai and most of them don’t come also”

PGDAV College has societies that have established their name among the best societies of Delhi University,
COMMERCIUM, the commerce society; is one of the largest societies of PGDAV College that is known for its great events like Commquest, Youth conclave, and various seminars and co-curricular activities. The other societies are enacted, navrang, Nss PGDAV; that have good fame and popular in most of the colleges of Delhi University.
