The college was established in August 1993 as a ‘Women’s College’ in the South Western part of Delhi and was named after Bhagini Nivedita, a Scots-Irish social worker, author, educationalist, and a follower and student of Swami Vivekananda who dedicated her whole life for the education and welfare of women. The college was founded by the government of the national capital, Delhi.

Bhagini Nivedita College Delhi University started with B.A.(Pass) and B.A. (Hons.) Hindi in 1993, and progressively added more courses later. After the implementation of FYUP in the year 2013, honors courses were enhanced in Discipline. The courses like commerce, history, home science, physics, and political science are also included by the Bhagini Nivedita College Delhi University.

The faculties of the college are very supportive and they all are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The college is located in a pollution-free environment, far from other outlines of the city. It’s a no-smoking zone. Also, the Classrooms are big with 2 gardens. College is beautifully structured. The classrooms don’t have projectors but the lab is good. The library is good and comprises all academics books. The tender for the canteen has alterations. So the taste matters!

Bhagini Nivedita College Delhi University had many cultural events throughout the year which comprises dancing, singing, nukkad nataks, paintings, article writing, story writing, debates, etc in which students from other colleges were brought on, and cash prizes are given to the winners.

Furthermore, sports day is celebrated every year in which sports like kho-kho, kabaddi, tug of war, 100 m race, long jump, high jump, shot put are also common in Bhagini Nivedita College Delhi University.

Your course decides the fees range. However, the fees are nominal for all the courses available in the college. The fee structure ranges from 5,000 to 7,000 according to the opted course.  Additionally, students have to pay  500-1000 as examination fees but, it was a cheap deal compared to other colleges.

The placements in Bhagini Nivedita college are satisfactory. 50% of the students were appointed. The minimum salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and the highest was Rs. 30,000. BSNL company visited the campus and offered the auditor role to the students. The college does not provide any big-name apprenticeship.
Because,  it is an Undergraduate College, there are fewer chances regarding jobs as it is an off-campus college located in a remote area. So, very few companies came to pick students from this college or we can say minor firms came there.
