The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu and the Department of Higher Education has agreed to improve the level of higher education in the Union Territory of India, Jammu, and Kashmir. The agreement was signed during a meeting held under the chairmanship of IIT Jammu director Manoj Singh Gaur and commissioner secretary of Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohel. Its objective is to help the Union Territory by providing excellent educational resources.
According to officials present at the meeting, IIT is soon going to share state-of-the-art resources and infrastructure with educational institutions to enhance the quality of research in the state. Along with this, experts from IIT, Jammu will instruct teachers and students in many other subjects such as big data, machine learning, cloud computing.
GOVT MAY CONFER IOE STATUS ON 30 MORE UNIVERSITIES
Officials stated that the scope of the agreement also included growths in academic, research, consultancy cooperation, and administrative.
Both IIT, Jammu, and the Department of Higher Education will work jointly to improve the quality of education in the degree universities of the state. During the entire session, the process of running several faculty development programs will also be started to improve the skill of teachers of universities.

Also, every effort will be made to develop the employment skills of youth in subjects like science, engineering, and humanities, and social sciences. New teaching methods and modern technical support will also be provided to provide quality education to the students.
