The IIS College or Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, has started accepting the applications for admissions to its BSC program. As for the notification, students can submit their application for admission to courses in IISC till August 6. The online application portal for admission to UG courses in IISc began on February 1, 2020.
Initially, the last date for the submission of application forms was June 30. The IISc however extended the last date for submission of application forms to July which further got extended owing to the coronavirus situation. The last date for application was first decided as 30 April for admission to Undergraduate courses. Later the date was extended to 30 June due to lockdown amid coronavirus pandemic. The college further extended the submission date to August 6, 2020.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission BSC Course in IISc Banglore
Aspirants who have passed class 12th exams or any equivalent exams in 2019 are eligible to apply for the BSC course in IISc Banglore. Students must fulfill the eligibility criteria to seek admission in IISc Banglore.
Application Fee for BSC in IISc Banglore
Students are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500 along with their application form. The application fee of Rs 500 is for students of the general category, Kashmiri migrants, and other backward classes. For scheduled tribes, scheduled caste, and PwD students the application fee is Rs 250.
Students are required to pay the application fee online through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking options.
Students can fill up the application form for admission to IISc on its official college website. The website shows an online application tab through which students can pay the application fees. The college has further provided instructions on the website to ease the students with the process.
IISc is considered one of the top Indian universities in India as per the NIRF ranking 2020 or National Institutional Ranking Framework. The IISc Banglore has been ranked second place in the NIRF ranking 2020 in this year. The selection for admission to UG courses will be given on a merit basis.
