DU Admission 2020 will be commenced on 10th October with the university releasing its first cut-off list. With sky soaring cut-offs, the primary matter of concern prevails if admission would be given to students with slightly low marks? The majority of students are not able to attain the cutoff marks of 95 percent and above. However, students with slightly low marks such as 75 to 85% can also get admission into DU. Several off-campus colleges offer and impart good education and numerous less taken courses have great potential.

The top colleges of DU do have a baffling cut-off of 97, 98, and even 99 percent. North and South campus admissions require 90 percent and above marks. Hence, it is not possible for everyone to get those in-campus colleges. However, this is no way stands as a hindrance and you can still make it into the university.

Which colleges can offer admission with low marks?

The term off-campus is frequent. These are basically good colleges but are not located around the administrative blocks of the University. Area unavailability, new buildings, and more are the factors why these colleges function outside the campus arena. However, these colleges are equally good for education and placements. Students also receive the same Delhi University degree irrespective of the campus they belong to.

Which potential course with less cut-offs can be taken for admission?

A lot of courses in the varsity offers admission even with low marks. These courses are less taken by the applicants. Hence, less admission takes place resulting in a drop in the cut-off percentage. However, these courses are highly efficient and potential. Also, if you aspire to simply get a bachelor’s degree, you must go ahead and opt for them.

Hindi and Sanskrit are two of these courses where easy admission with low marks can be given. The modern society trend looks down upon these subjects. However, language degrees offer great jobs in the future with handsome salaries. Hence, it is just a myth that courses like Hindi and Sanskrit offer zero career opportunities.

Students can easily get admission into these courses with 80 – 85 percent marks. An additional category certificate, if any, can further drop the cut-off up to 75 percent. Program courses also admission with low marks. These courses are basically an amalgamation of two core subjects. The program courses offer a variety of subjects. Students can then switch to one of the program subjects in their post-graduate course. Hence, in this way, a student stands eligible to study two core subjects and get vast knowledge. All this is possible with minimal 80 – 90 percent marks.

Low marks can in no way stand as an obstacle between the student and their dreams. Delhi University offers great colleges and courses with average marks. However, a student needs to be persistent with the hard work to achieve greater success. Hence, off-campus colleges are on par with other colleges in terms of studies. Language courses offer ample career opportunities. The graduation certificate remains the same for all colleges and courses ultimately.
