The University of Delhi is planning to release the cutoffs for various undergraduate programmes on 10th October, two days before the commencement of the admission procedure to lend students sufficient time to select courses and colleges. The University of Delhi is going to commence the entire DU admission process online for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per the academic schedule released by Delhi University on 25th September on it’s the official website, admissions under the first cutoff list will commence on 12th October and will end on 14th October.
The last day for submission of admission fees will be 16th October and the new academic session will begin on 18th November. Shobha Bagai, Dean (DU Admission) Delhi University said that the University will conduct a webinar for students on Friday.
The first cutoff list for DU admission for various UG courses will be released two days before the commencement of the admission process. The admission process will commence on 12th October and will go on till 14th October.
Ms. Bagai said that the University will be conducting a webinar for students on how to calculate their marks for the cutoffs, choose colleges and courses on the Delhi University dashboard. She further added that they will soon be holding a meeting with conveners of colleges. As there is a need to sensitize everyone, from professors in colleges to candidates seeking admission, who tend to get nervous.
Ms. Shobha Bagai instructed students seeking admission to Delhi University to keep checking the notices regarding DU admission uploaded on the DU website. Furthermore, she asserted that the University is planning to release the cutoffs on 10th October so that students will get a day to go through it and make a decision for themselves. She added that they have requested the principals of DU colleges to share the cutoffs with them till 9th October. Rest it depends on when they provide the authorities with the cutoffs.
The Dean of Colleges, Professor Balram Pani said that all the Delhi University Colleges Principals have been asked to share the cutoffs with the varsity by 9th October.
