The Delhi University Students Union, DUSU elections are likely to be held in September this year. The last election was conducted in the year 2019. After that, no students’ bodies were stalled due to the pandemic and it put a hold on the election plus affected the academic calendar.

University has decided to start preparing for the DUSU elections once the admission process will finish. In the last election, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three seats. Whereas the Congress’s National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) got one. Moreover, the ABVP got the president’s post by getting 29,000 votes.

ABVP Providing Free Crash Course for CUET

This year the ABVP is providing a crash course for CUET for free of cost. While the NSUI has launched a student helpline number regarding queries for admissions. Also, it will take up the issue of hostel students in the university.

NSUI said it will work on the membership drive and manifesto after the admission process. Chief of Congress’s student wing, Kunal Sehrawat said, “In the last nine years of BJP rule, Delhi University hasn’t seen any major changes. No new colleges or new hostels have been built under their rule.”
