The University of Delhi has kick-started its UG admissions 2021 that began yesterday at around 6 p.m. Hence, as per officials, more than 8000 registrations took place within two hours of the portal’s activation. The University of Delhi (DU) offers over 70,000 undergraduate seats for which the UG admissions 2021 is being held.
The launch of the undergraduate admission portal was scheduled for Monday, 2nd August 2021. But, it was delayed by a few hours. Thus, even after the unforeseen delay, the response was amazing with numerous applications.

The undergraduate registrations for academic session 2021-22 will continue till 31st August 2021. Also, the process is completely online. Hence, students are not required to visit the colleges for any admission related purposes or queries. The UG admissions 2021 will be completely merit-based, i.e. based on class 12th best of four marks.
No ECA trials amidst covid-19:
Amidst the covid-19 infection and the lurking 3rd wave, ECA trials are not possible. Hence, admissions under the extracurricular and sports section will be taken on the basis of sports certificates and qualifications. Hence, the best three certificates from the past four years are required.
The varsity guides students for UG admissions 2021:
The university is trying to help the aspirations in every possible way. Also, they have assured to come up with various webinars. These webinars will be held from time to time and help the students with their problems. It will also consist of the varsity’s experts who will explain the entire admission procedure. Video tutorials will also be provided for help. Some senior officials clarified that AI-based ChatBots and 24/7 working help desks will be made available.
