NEP for PG courses

Delhi University has already implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for undergraduate courses. Now, the varsity is planning to apply to NEP for PG courses soon. This information came from university Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh at the press conference.

DU VC said that the university will implement the NEP for post-graduate courses by the 2024 or 2025 academic year. Moreover, he said that PG courses will be of duration of one or two years for ease of students. 

After applying for NEP for UG courses, students have the option to either complete their degree or do research. This means, students with a 4 year UG course can do a one-year master’s degree program in future.

DU UG admission 2023: 2.91 lakh registrations and 69,251 applications received

Whereas, a student with a 3-year course can choose a two-year master’s program at Delhi University. 

NEP for PG Courses Under Process 

As per this policy, the central university has become flexible in terms of providing entry and exit. This allows students to pursue their interests and passion at the point of their program duration.

Registration for DU UG Admission phases 1 and 2 has been extended till July 26

NEP for postgraduate courses is under process and the university has yet to give confirmation and guidelines.
