Delhi University is planning to implement the Higher Education Commission of India, HECI. The varsity held a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor PC Joshi along with the Principal, Registrar, and Joint Registrars.
So, the committee had a discussion about maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. They also discussed how the committee can the existing structures. Moreover, With the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, there would the implementation of HECI as well.
The varsity is planning to come up with the multi-tier process of deliberations. Delhi University appointed a core committee. The leader of the core committee is Pankaj Arora. He is the director of the Institute of Life Long Learning.
DU FORMED A COMMITTEE FOR RECOMMENDATIONS ON HECI
Delhi University asked them to share their views and recommendations on HECI from different states. Consequently, Pankaj Arora will coordinate the committee and work with them. He will connect with the research, administrative and academic units of the varsity. So, the main work of the committee is to gather suggestions and observations from all the stakeholders.

MEETINGS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF HECI
To carry out the consultative process on HECI, DU colleges are divided into five clusters. 1 college from every cluster will conduct meetings with other colleges. On the other hand, the dean and directors of the faculty and centers of Delhi University will organize regular meetings with faculty members. So, they would continuously ask for their opinion on the implementation of HECI.

Moreover, Dean’s and Heads will share their feedback along with their suggestions. The officials of Delhi University registrar will college feedback and suggestions from other registrars. However, After the consultative process, the varsity would discuss the outcomes of HECI implementation in the next meeting on 6th April 2021.
