DU NOTICE FOR INTERMEDIATE SEMESTER/ TERM STUDENTS: HOW TO IMPROVE GRADES AND TO BE PASSED IN FAILED SUBJECTS| CHECK ALL DETAILS
Delhi university recently issued a notice dated June 8, 2020 in consideration of the students of intermediate semester.
The notice was in reference to the clarification on the issue related to the carry forward scheme for students appearing in the examinations for assessment of intermediate semester/ term students for academic session 2019-20 as one-time measure.
It is mentioned in the notice that this is in continuation of the notification issued on June 4, 2020, for intermediate semester/term/year students {I year (II semester/term ), II year (IV semester/ term) }UG and PG.
The notice highlights that the additions included with the grading and promotion scheme for Intermediate semester/term/year students registered with colleges/departments/centers for academic session 2019 -20 as a one-time measure in view of COVID-19 pandemic:

HOW TO BE PROMOTED IN SUBJECTS IN WHICH STUDENTS FAILED PREVIOUSLY?
The carryforward method ( for the subjects in which the student has failed ) shall be allowed for the current academic year only.
Such students may clear the examinations for the course n which he/she has failed/remained absent when examinations are held next year as per the cycle of the semester and the span period.
OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE GRADES
The notice also clarified that all the students shall be allowed to improve their grades in the succeeding year as per the cycle of the semester for the students admitted in the semester mode of study.
For students admitted in the yearly mode of study, the notification issued on June 6, 2020, for students registered with SOL and NCWEB shall be applicable in the case of students belonging to the yearly mode of assessment.
