The convocation ceremony of the University of Delhi is on 27th February. VS Negi, the newly elected member of the Executive Council in Delhi University has demanded to give Ph.D. degree in offline mode during DU convocation.

A member of the Executive Council of Delhi University, Dr. Negi has put forward this demand by writing a letter to the acting Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University, VC Joshi. He wrote that receiving a Ph.D. degree is a memorable moment. The students feel delighted to receive it in the presence of the chief guest in DU Convocation ceremony. Therefore he has requested Delhi University that the Ph.D. degree be awarded at the time of convocation in front of chief guests.

DU CONVOCATION CEREMONY 2019-20 SCHEDULE DISCLOSED

It may be noted that Delhi University had reduced the timings of the convocation ceremony due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. In addition to curtailing the number of people, the time limit has further been curtailed.

The Annual Convocation of the University of Delhi for presenting the Medals/Prizes to the meritorious students and for conferring upon the Degrees to the successful candidates of the examination 2020 will be held on Saturday, 27th February 2021 at 10.00 A.M. in the Multipurpose Hall, Delhi University Sports Stadium Complex, University of Delhi.
