This year, as there are many cases of COVID-19 and the nation was under lockdown, all the institutions were closed. According to the university, this year the authority has declared that those students who are seeking for DU admission under backward class (OBC) or economically weaker section (EWS) have to get new certificates attesting to their eligibility issued. But, how would students manage to get a new certificate in such a pandemic? University has said that they will accept only those certificates that are issued after March 30, 2020. So this is the main problem faced by DU aspirants this year.
CERTIFICATES ARE MANDATORY TO SEEK DU ADMISSION
Government attested certificates are mandatory to get DU admission under these categories. Many Delhi University teachers have asked the administration, whether they can admit the students on the basis of previously issued certificates as they would it, it is difficult for them to get their certificates during coronavirus pandemic. But the administration wants certificates to be issued after March 30, 2020. Still, the university has granted permission to those students who are going to take admission that then can attach an acknowledgment slip while filling up the admission form stating that they will get their certificates along with them at the time of admission to a particular college.
