The government announced that flight services will start from next week. 

The passengers will be allowed to the airport if their flight is within 4 hours.

According to the government, domestic airlines will restart from Monday.  Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri asserted that the flyers are not needed to put themselves in isolation for a span of 14 days.

“The quarantine difficulty will be dealt with in a practical manner. We can’ go for 14 days’ quarantine. It is not practical,” the aviation minister told.

“If you test positive, then you will not even be licensed to enter the airport or board flights,” Puri added further, communication the SOPs need to be obeyed by the flyers when the flights again start from the 25th of May.

The Centre determined to start the flight assistance from next week after two months. The nation discontinued its airways services after the declaration of lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.

 

The travelers have to be present at the airport at least two hours before the departure of the flight. The authorities need to ensure the availability of public conveyances and private taxis for the flyers and crew members. The boarding for the flight will start 60 minutes prior to departure and the boarding gate will be shut 20 minutes before departure.

The flyers with actual web check-in will be permitted in the airport premises. There won’t be any physical check-via counters, the civil aviation minister said. The minister further added that it is mandatory for all the flyers to go through the thermal screening process, before entering the airport building. Mask and gloves are compulsory to wear by all. 

The one, who clears the above-mentioned procedure will be permitted to travel by air. All the passengers need to have ‘Arogya Setu Application’ in their cellphones, excluding children below 14 years. In case it does not shows ‘green sign’ on the app or the individuals do not have a government call tracing app, they will be straightway sent back. Only a single check-in bag is permitted and meals won’t be provided during the flight journey.

Rugs soaked with bleach will be placed outside the entrance gate in order to disinfect footwear. 

Staff Members need to have Personal Protective Equipment and sanitizers.  

Keeping social distancing, the seating chairs have been marked off. 

The passengers will not be allowed to step in the airport if they come 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure. The Trolley services will not be available during arrival or departure but in some special cases, it can be used. Newspapers and Magazines are also canceled to be provided in the terminal or lounge.

On Wednesday, Minister contended that the airways services will resume in a ‘calibrated’ manner.There will be a lower and upper margin of prices specified by the government during coronavirus pandemic period,” the aviation ministry declared.

Many airports are already active as the goods flights, for medical evacuation and special flights to rescue Indians from various countries have been prevailing amid the lockdown as well.
