The National Democratic Teachers Front (NDTF) delegation, led by Dr. AK Bhagi, met Dr. DP Singh, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), to address the problems of Adhoc teachers at Delhi University. The NDTF delegation said that during this meeting, discussions were held on the sustainability of teachers working on the Adhoc of Delhi University, the Enamily committee report, the recovery after the retirement of physical education teachers, and many problems. The committee said that UGC chairman Dr. DP Singh has assured us that he will resolve these issues soon.

NDTF President Dr. Bhagi said that the delegation has also informed the UGC chairman about their problems regarding the stability of the teachers working on Adhoc in the Delhi University for many years. Let us tell you that there are about five thousand Adhoc teachers at Delhi University.

NDTF General Secretary Dr. VS Negi told that the delegation has demanded that reservation for the economically weaker sections should not be implemented from the previous date and only the reservation for the economically weaker sections (EWS) is applied to the new posts. should be done.

There has also been a demand for the release of more posts of teachers as compared to a 25% increase due to the reservation of economically weaker sections. Dr. Negi said that for promotion to the post of Associate Professor, there has also been a demand for giving exemption to non-PhD teachers by 2023. There was also a demand for clarification on the Ph.D. increment to the working teachers. The delegation has sought to resolve the problem of backlogs and shortfalls, along with university and college rosters, in front of the UGC chairman.
