Yet another case of alleged murder has surfaced in the national capital. A woman’s body was found near a metro station in Delhi on Thursday. The body was spotted at Welcome Metro Station, a transfer station between the Red and Pink Lines. The crime scene is near the Shyam Lal College of Delhi University.

The Delhi Police said that the murderers mutilated the woman’s face to prevent her from being identified. Afterall, this is a tactic that criminals often use to destroy evidence. Further, this suggests the confidence of the killers in not getting caught. Or that they had a specific motive for wanting to send a message.

Why was the woman’s face mutilated?

In this Delhi metro station murder case, police confirmed that the woman’s face was mutilated to obliterate evidence. Also, investigators believe she was over 30 years old based on her body.

Further, police are reviewing security cameras in the area for clues to the suspects’ identities. In a similar case last month, police arrested a colleague and close friend of a 45-year-old South Delhi woman who went missing and was later found dead in Greater Noida.

Mohammed Zakir, a 48-year-old man, was arrested for the murder of a woman. Moreover, Police say Zakir took the woman to Knowledge Park in Greater Noida and stabbed her with a dagger.

After killing her, he poured acid on her face and body. This was done to impede her from being identified. Further, police believe Zakir committed the crime because he was under pressure to repay a loan he borrowed from the woman.

Police are continuing to investigate this Delhi metro station murder case of woman. And, the police are urging anyone with the information to cooperate with them.
