Both CBSE and CICSE boards have made it clear to declare the class 12th results by 31st July 2021. The Supreme Court was informed of this by the boards as per the affidavits filed by them. Also, the students interested in taking up the physical board exams by CBSE can do so between 15th August and 15th September. But, this will depend completely on the pandemic situation. CICSE will also conduct its improvement exams from 1st September 2021 as per the given pandemic situation.

CBSE and CICSE to declare results as per the devised evaluation criteria:
The apex court was informed by CBSE and CICSE that they have amended their respective evaluation criteria. Also, the boards have come up with a dispute resolution mechanism for those students who raise any objections against their results. Thus, the evaluation scheme for class 12th is duly created.
An optional physical exam for unsatisfied students by CBSE and CICSE:
Not everyone likely trusts the evaluation process devised for class 12th students. Thus, CBSE and CICSE have also set a backup plan of an optional physical exam. Satyam Bhardwaj, the controller of CBSE exams says that physical exams will be conducted between August 15 and September 15.
These exams are solely for unsatisfied students. An online registration facility for the physical exams will also be provided. Also, physical exams will only be conducted for main subjects. The marks obtained in the exam will be regarded as final with no scope for further changes.
The CICSE also confirmed that the improvement exams will be conducted as expeditiously as possible, i.e. September 1. However, it depends on the situation and the declaration of timely results. The board also clarified that if students have any objection regarding the computation of marks, they may write to their concerned school. All such applications will be received by CICSE by the Head of schools within 7 days of result deceleration.
