Keeping the covid-19 situation in mind the question number across sections is reduced in CAT exam 2021. It will help candidates to complete the test within a given time. Moreover, the format was also changed last year due to the pandemic.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad will conduct the exam. It schedules the Common Admission Test (CAT) in November 2021 in 160 cities of India. Moreover, admit card will release at the end of October.
Convenor of Common Admission Test (CAT) MP Ram Mohan said, “Last year exam format changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Again, we are noticing the same problem this year. Therefore, the exam format will mostly remain the same.”
Further, he said that the new format did not bother the candidates in 2020. Though there are three sections: Quantitative Ability; Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Data Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. This year, the questions’ number will decrease from each section. It will eliminate the issue of time pressure in finishing off.

CAT 2021 TO CONDUCT EXAM UNDER COVID MEASURES
One of the faculties at IIM Ahmedabad said, “All the modifications in 2021 are the same as CAT 2020. According to which on the same day, we will have three sessions. Also, the test duration will be two hours instead of three hours.”
Also, Convenor MK Mohan explained, “The changes will help in conducting the exam with sincerity. All the Covid guidelines are in consideration for exams such as wearing a mask and maintaining social distance.” In addition, he said, “The Committee of CAT will assure the safety of candidates and officials. As the risk of a pandemic has not been eradicated yet.”
The registration process was started on 4 August. The last date to apply for CAT exam 2021 is 22 September, 5:00 PM.
