DU Open Book Exam for first-year students is going to start at Delhi University (DU) on Monday. The exam will be held in two shifts from 9:30 in the morning and 2:30 in the afternoon. DU, like the previous two OBEs, has given students the option to give the exam both online and offline. Students can give the exams from home. Colleges, departments have been sanitized for the offline examination.

SIX HOURS FOR DISABLED STUDENTS:
DU administration said that the disabled students have been given extra time to avoid any problems during the DU Open Book Exam. Two hours more will be given than other students. Disabled students will get three hours to write. Moreover, they will get about three hours to download the question paper and upload it on the answer sheet portal.
Examinations Department Dean Prof DS Rawat said that strict instruction has been given to students to upload the answer booklet on the DU portal within the stipulated time. Students will be given one hour of extra time in case of problems like a technical drawback, slow internet speed. However, all such cases will be referred to the Review Committee. The Review Committee will investigate whether the student has intentionally delayed uploading the copy. Any reasonable reason for sending the reply book to the students late will have to be given. If there is a problem uploading the answer book, screenshots have to be shown.

Many students have opted for the offline option. These students will give exams in colleges, departments. Because of the increasing cases of corona in Delhi, the colleges are keeping a vigil. The principal of Miranda House College, Dr. Bijayalakshmi Nanda said that the college has been sanitized. Girls will have to go through the process of thermal screening. The sanitizer has been arranged and physical distance will be ensured during the examination.
