On 11 July 2020, Lokesh Chugh secretary of National Student’s Union Of India has released a press release where NSUI welcomes Delhi government’s decision to promote 3rd-year students.
NSUI along with Students has been demanding the Delhi government to promote the Students and grant them relief. The NSUI created #SpeakUpforstudents to bring the attention of the government towards their dilemma.
He added that the Students have made 708k tweets with the help of a platform created by NSUI in which they stated all of their pain and misery which forced the government to take some action. The NSUI mailed the Delhi government earlier regarding the awful situation that has been created due to their negligence. The government responded that they will do the needful and forwarded to the VC and other authorities.
After all the inescapable attempts made by NSUI to mitigate the suffering, Students have attained victory as the decision came about the cancellation of all Delhi state University exams including final year exams.
Nagesh Kariyapp, in-charge, Delhi state, announced that they congratulate the Students and appreciate them for their patience as well as their continuous efforts.
NSUI demands that all the state and the central government provides the same order of ditching the examinations of all state and central universities as the students earn it.
