Delhi University Seats: The University of Delhi (DU) has commenced the admission process to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses across several colleges affiliated with it. This year a large number of students have achieved more than 95 % marks in their class 12 examinations. As a result of which candidates aiming for admissions in DU colleges are likely to rise.

August 31 is the last date for filing forms for seeking admissions to UG courses. The admission procedure will be precisely online.

P.C. Joshi, DU Vice-Chancellor said, it is right that this year many students have achieved good marks in the CBSE. He said they have full respect for the results published by the CBSE and other state boards. Therefore, the seats in Delhi University can be increased if needed.

Already many DU colleges have had extremely high cut-offs for admissions in several courses. These colleges include Hansraj College, Daulat Ram College, Ramjas College, Hindu College, St. Stephen’s College, and Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC).

DUET 2021 APPLICATION PROCESS FOR UG COURSES HAS BEGUN

The DU V-C stated that as compared to previous years this time the merit list may rise even higher. However, despite this, admissions to Delhi University will be performed based on merit only.

The UG courses admission process in DU commenced on Monday (August 2) while that the PG program has begun on July 26.

Delhi University has agreed to sustain the eligibility criteria of the last year for the advantage of the students keeping in view the challenges encountered by the varsity due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

DU ADMISSION 2021: KNOW THE ADMISSION CRITERIA

As per DU VC Joshi, the faculty has also concluded that there will be no modification in the enrollment fee for entrance test-based and merit-based admissions. Centralized UG admissions will be performed through a registration-cum-application form. All departments for admission to colleges will use the same registration-cum-application form for entries. Competitors will not have to fill any additional forms.

For PG programs, aspirants will have to fill up an enrollment form but have to give a separate registration fee for opting for more than one PG program.
