DU SOL candidates may have to wait for at least 15 more days for the admission process for UG courses in DU’s School of Open Learning. The admission process of SOL was expected to begin by the first week of September. But due to the continual delay in getting the permission of the Distance Education Board (DEB) of the University Grant Commission (UGC), it may take at least 15 more days to begin.

According to the report, the SOL administration is fully prepared for admission from their side. SOL Principal Prof. As per the US Pandey, all the practices for the admission process for the academic session 2021-22 have been accomplished much in advance. But SOL is waiting for a permission letter from DEB for the new session.

It was expected that this confirmation would be lent by the end of August. But it will take some more time. In such a situation, candidates may have to wait for at least 15 more days for the admission procedure of SOL.

Admission Process For Sol Will Begun Soon

The admission process of SOL will be begun as soon as the permission letter of DEB is received. Under the admission process, aspirants will be given about one month to apply. After that, the applied students have to pay the delayed fee.

It is noteworthy, admission will be performed for BA, BA Political Science Honors, BA English Honours, and BCom, BCom Honors courses at the UG level.

Last year, approximately 99 thousand admissions were achieved in these five courses, which was nearly 30 percent less than the 2019 session. As per the administration, the main reason for the drop in admission was the Covid pandemic.

There was an environment of fear among both the students as well as the parents. But now the situation is under control. So this year again the graph of admission of students in SOL is expected to rise.
