The application process for the UGC NET 2021 examination to be held in May 2021 has started. The maximum age limit for JRF has been increased to 31 years. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), this exemption is applicable only in the current examination. Further the age limit for UGC NET 2021 examinations will be only 30 years.
Age relaxation: As stated in the notice, a relaxation of up to 5 years is offered to candidates and women applicants of OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PWD / Transgender categories. While LLM degree candidates get relaxation at the age of 3 years. There is no upper age limit for the qualification of Assistant Professor.
The exam was not held in December 2020
The last date to apply for UGC NET 2021 is 2 March. The application fee can be deposited by 03 March. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had announced the dates of the UGC NET exam recently. The UGC NET-2020 examination to be held in December could not be conducted. Now, this exam will be held on 2-7, 10-12, 14, and 17 May.
paper pattern: There will be two question papers in the UGC NET / JRF exam. They will be in two shifts in the morning and afternoon. The first paper in the exam will be on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Teaching, and General Research Aptitude.

The first shift of the exam will be from 09-12 am, the second shift from 03 pm to 06 pm.
