NCHM JEE 2020: NTA POSTPONES NCHM JEE 2020 FOR THE SECOND TIME, NEW DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown announced by the government, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) 2020. The NCHM JEE-2020 was initially scheduled to be held on 22 June.

NTA issued a notice in which they mentioned that in view of the articulations received from many aspirants to further postpone the examination due to the problems faced by them in movement, the National Testing Agency has decided to further postpone the NCHM JEE-2020.

On Sunday, Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted about the announcement and wrote, “Announcement: In view of the current situation and requests received from many candidates, I have advised @DG_NTA to postpone the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) 2020”. He added that the new dates of the exam will be announced in due course of time.

Earlier NTA has decided to conduct this exam on 25 April but was later postponed for 22 June. This is the second time that the examination has been postponed this year. Students have to wait till further notice and the new dates will be announced soon.

Once releases, the revised schedule of this entrance exam will be available on the official website of the exam – nchmjee.ta.nic.in.
According to a report, candidates will have to answer 200 questions in three hours. Every correct answer will fetch four marks and for a wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
The NCHM JEE 2020 will be divided into sub-parts such as English, general knowledge, reasoning and logical deduction, aptitude for the service sector, numerical ability, and analytical aptitude.

Every year, a number of students register for the exams for admission to B.Sc courses in hospitality and hostel administration. Students are admitted to 63 top-ranked NCHM affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) based on their ranking across India.

As per the report, 15 days before the conduct of examination, the dates of downloading of NCHM JEE 2020 Admit Cards indicating roll number and Centre of Examination will be displayed on official websites of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) and NCHM (JEE)-2020 (nchmjee.nta.nic.in).

Due to this pandemic, other entrance exams including JEE Main, NEET, etc are also postponed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Now, these entrance exams will be held in July.
