JNU students are also demanding the suspension of online classes due to the current pandemic situation and its crisis. The covid-19 pandemic is reaching its peak and had almost affected every household. The JNU students are not in their right state of mind to continue with online classes. Hence, students from Jawaharlal Nehru University are making similar demands like Delhi University (DU) and Indraprastha University (IPU).

The plea of JNU students:
The JNU students witnessed that many universities including Delhi University (DU) have suspended online classes and postponed exams. Hence, in the light of these recent decisions, they requested the Jawaharlal Nehru University administration.
The letter demands an immediate suspension of all online teaching and learning activities. It also asks the administration to postpone exams. The JNU students suggested that their representatives can convene a meeting with the academic council and board of studies. Hence, this meeting can help the administration take any further decisions regarding the evaluation process in exams. Also, the letter requested an extension of the ongoing semester along with a semester break. So, this break will make up for any academic loss caused during the pandemic.
DU ONLINE CLASSES SUSPENDED TILL 16TH MAY
The united meeting of JNU students:
On Thursday, 6th May 2021, over 140 varsity students from the school of law and other departments gathered in an online meeting. Hence, they concluded that “all the students should be promoted to the next semester unconditionally.” They added that Delhi University has already been expanding this provision to the students. So, it is very insensitive of the Jawaharlal Nehru University to stay silent on such issues. However, even after numerous attempts by the university’s students they didn’t get any response yet.
