The preparations for admission to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for the academic year 2021-22 have started. According to the JNU, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the entrance examination. Various centers and schools of the University will assist the NTA with the preparation of the question papers.
Professor JK Tripathi, Head of Admission Committee at JNU has recently issued a statement that said that the NTA has been administering the entrance tests for JNU since 2019. This time as well, the NTA will conduct the entrance examinations for JNU admission 2021. In this regard, EC and AC of JNU, the highest decision-making units at Jawaharlal Nehru University have taken the decision. According to the statement issued, the NTA is an independent organization and it is administering the tests for the last three years in a transparent and better way for JNU.

APPLY FOR COMMON ADMISSION TEST AT CUSAT
Prof. JK Tripathi asserted that the JNU admission committee gets the assistance of the teachers in preparing the question papers and in getting done with other preparations. At the same time, the dean and presidents of various centers and departments further assist NTA and JNU. He added that it is unfortunate that some of the JNU professors are opposing the administration of the JNU entrance exam by NTA.
HC MOVED BY DU GRADUATES FOR DIRECTION TO JNU TO GRANT ADMISSION
JNU Vice-Chancellor, M Jagdish Kumar had alleged that some of the JNU professors are against the conduct of JNUEE 2021 by NTA. He said that National Testing Agency has taken the duty of entrance examination and there has been transparency in the procedure. Jagdish Kumar said that some people from JNU do not want Jawaharlal Nehru University to have any kind of association with NTA. However, under the newly imposed National Education Policy, most entrance exams will be administered by NTA.
