Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started a new course in Urdu. IGNOU’s School of Humanities has started a Master’s Program in Urdu (MUD) through Open Distance Learning Mode.
This program introduces learners to a wide range of Urdu languages and literature. The course will help the students to develop a sound understanding of Urdu literature, Arabic literature, Persian literature, English literature, and Hindi literature.
Good knowledge of reading comprehension and writing skills will be a prerequisite for this new program. Students enrolling in this course must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Candidates willing to take admission in this course can apply for the course through the official website of the university.

The new academic program developed by the School of Journalism and New Media Studies was launched on June 25 by Professor Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor IGNOU.

Indira Gandhi National Open University has begun a new PG Diploma Program in Development Communication.
The new educational program was developed by the School of Journalism and New Media Studies. It was initiated by Professor Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU. PGDDC pursues to develop a sound understanding of the core topics of the development process. This in turn will enable the students to find employment opportunities in different local, national, and international agencies.

The period of the new academic program is one year. Students passing the graduate program will be able to apply for the postgraduate diploma program in development.
