A review meeting was held by Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on July 7. This meeting was held by him with the ministry officials and the University of Delhi. A synchronized calendar for CBSE board exam result and DU admission 2020 was discussed in the meeting.

The University of Delhi had previously extended the deadline to fill the admission form of undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. courses till July 18. The earlier last date was July 4.

It is expected by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) to declare the results of class 10 and 12 board exams by July 15.

The decision of CBSE to not take the remaining exams of class 10 and 12 was approved by the Supreme Court on June 27. A new assessment scheme for the papers which were canceled was also approved by the court.

On account of the extraordinary situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, CBSE announced that it will reduce the syllabus for the students of classes 9 to 12.

Currently, the University of Delhi is accepting registration from students and is not asking the students to fill in their results. The deadline for the application date to the DU is July 18.

Mr. Pokhriyal said on social media that he would like to assure everyone that the MHRD is committed to the health of the students and quality education.
