Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana declared that all the girl students in Haryana will be provided passports after that completes their graduation. He said that the whole registration process of a passport will be done on the college campus itself.
Haryana CM announced that the all girl students in Haryana will receive the passport along with the college’s graduation degree. The announcement was made in the Har Sar Helmet program held on Saturday. The Har Sar Helmet event was hosted to announce that the Haryana government will provide learners driving license and free helmets to more than students in Karnal.
Further, the CM asserted that learners driving license will be provided to students. The initiative is taken to make students aware of the traffic rules and to promote self-dependency by learning driving.
During the event, Manohar Lal also distributed free helmets to some students. He further asserted that such programs are not part of politics and the impact of such events will prevail for a longer duration. He emphasized on the fact that wearing a helmet can reduce the chances of injuries and can save lives.
The CM added that around 1300 accidents take place on a daily basis in our country. The people who do not wear a helmet while driving gets seriously injured while some lose their lives. Approximately 13 people die due to road accidents in Haryana daily.
The initiative to provide a passport to girl students along with their graduation degree is to promote women empowerment. The initiative will further provide opportunities to girl students in Haryana to go abroad for higher studies or jobs. He included that programs like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swacha Bharat Abhiyan, and save water save life are meant to bring a change and overall development on the state of Haryana.
