Delhi University Teachers Association said that FYUP will break down a four-year undergraduate degree into parts. When the academic council of Delhi University was discussing the implementation of the National Education Policy, DUTA was protesting outside DU Vice Chancellor’s Office.

So, in the meeting, the academic council discussed the four-year undergraduate program, FYUP, along with different entry and exit options. So, after the approval of the Academic Council, DUTA asked the Vice-Chancellor PC Joshi to first discuss the matter at all the statutory levels.

So, in the letter, DUTA wrote the decisions taken by the authority will restrict the authority to take hasty decisions towards the implementation of NEP 2020. Moreover, the varsity will remember how disastrous was the situation turned out to be in 2013. In 2013, the plan of FYUP was in operation but the authority scrapped it later.
REJECTION OF FYUP
On the other hand, students did not like the idea of FYUP. It is because of the dilution of the first two years of the four-year undergraduate programme. So, the implementation of FYUP is in favor of the Academic Council. But DUTA is still not in favor of the decision.
