DU patent course

Delhi University (DU) has started a certificate course for patent course. Candidates can register online till November 10, 2023. This DU patent course is the second batch of this course. The duration of the course will be three months, which will run from December 1 to March 2024.

Students registering for this will have to pay Rs 5,000 during application. At the same time, candidates will be able to deposit fees from November 21.

Who can apply for the DU patent course?

Students who have passed graduation and 12th class will be able to apply. Classes will be conducted in hybrid mode for 60 hours and offline mode for 48 hours.

Its last date will be 30th November. Apart from this, there will be practical training for the students, which will be done in batches by rotation from March 2023. The minimum qualification required to apply for the course is graduation in any discipline.

Apart from this, students who have passed class 12 will also be able to apply. Students will be continuously assessed through written classroom tests and project work on completion of each module.

Each batch consists of 300 students

300 students per batch will be selected for this course. In this, classes will be conducted in hybrid mode for a total of 60 hours and in offline mode for 48 hours. Not only this, studies will be done in online mode for 12 hours. Classes will be held on Saturday and Sunday for 2 hours each.

The objective of the course is to educate students about the need to create, protect, commercialize, and evaluate intellectual property, especially patents. In this, various forms of intellectual property rights will be explained to the students along with teaching them the method of filing patents.

The course will also highlight various schemes of government to promote innovation and patent filing for universities, start-ups, and budding entrepreneurs.
