DU LLB Admission 2023: Faculty of Law introduces 5-year integrated course

From the academic year 2023–2024, the University of Delhi will offer two five-year law programs: BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons). Therefore, to get admission to these programs, DU LLB application form 2023 will soon be available on du.ac.in, the official website of Delhi University.

Further, the Bar Council of India (BCI) approved an addition of 60 seats for BA LLB (Hons) and another 60 seats for BBA LLB (Hons) on July 26. According to the university, admission to this five-year LLB program offered by Delhi University would be based on the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT UG 2023) exam.

In 1924, the university created the Department of Law under the Faculty of Law. Before this decision, the DU law faculty was offering three-year LLB, an LLM (both full-time and part-time), and a Ph.D. in law. During this academic year, classes for the additional two law courses will be conducted. And, application form for DU LLB admission 2023 will release soon..

Yogesh Singh, the vice-chancellor of Delhi University, formed a committee called the Workload Assessment Committee to look into the implementation of the five-year integrated law programs. Thus, the committee suggested a new centre that will be part of the Faculty of Law.

Moreover, as per the official statement, “Classes for the BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programs will be held in the University of Delhi’s Kanad Bhawan Faculty of Law.”
