30% of the results of the Intermediate and Postgraduate Intermediate Semester DU exam in December are yet to come. This DU exam was held in December, but even after 4 months, students are waiting for the results of many courses. Covid is one of the reasons for this delay. So far, 70% of the results of the courses have been received. DU’s examination branch says that these results are delayed due to some other reasons, including Covid, but all results will be released by the end of May. At the same time, the results of the first-semester exam in March will come by next month. The examination branch says that 72% of the sheets of UG and PG have been checked.
70% result released
DU’s UG and PG (Semester 3/5/7 and Professional Courses) exams were held in December. Results for 70% of the courses have been issued so far. Results for 156 courses have been released. These include UG 71 and 85 PG courses. DU Dean Dean Examinations Prof. DS Rawat says that the DU exam results have been delayed due to Covid-19 because many teachers who checked the sheets had become Covid positive. Apart from this, this time there have not been holidays, so along with taking online classes, the teachers have checked the answer sheet. Also, they had a centralized process in December of Evaluation, under which centers were made, and there they had to check the answer sheet online. But the teachers were taking more time to work on it. Answer sheet checking was somewhat slow. The exam was given by around 1.5 lakh students.
Results of March exam soon
Students taking admission in the first semester in 2020 took their exams in March. Their result is expected in June. Prof. Rawat says that the examination branch took over the evaluation of the March examinations and it is their aim to give the results in two and a half months. 72% evaluation has been completed. Results will also come by next month. About 2.25 lakh students had given the exam.
