DU East Campus: In the next two years, Delhi University will establish its East Campus. To ensure funding for the construction of the East campus DU had submitted a proposal. Delhi University had earlier declared expansion plans.

These plans involve the expansion of the DU East and West campus. DU is planning to introduce more courses and inaugurate a center for law. At present Delhi University has a North campus and a South campus.

For various development projects, a loan of Rs. 930 crore has been granted under the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA). HEFA is a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Canara Bank. It offers a monetary guide for instructive framework and exploration offices in India’s driving instructive establishments. It is providing funds to DU for various projects involving the DU East campus.

Once the work for DU East campus commences the construction is expected to be completed within 2 years. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be presented by Monday to begin development on the new grounds. As indicated by DU’s money office, which made this declaration following a gathering with HEFA on Thursday. To deliver the assets, HEFA and the college will sign an Update of Grasping (MoU) after the endorsement of the DPR.
