ADMISSION SCHEDULE TO BE FINALISED BY DU PANEL

Officials said on Tuesday that the DU admissions committee will be meeting in the coming week to finalize the schedule of admissions and the other issues. This meeting will take place now since the CBSE results of class 12 are already released.

The Dean of DU admissions Shobha Bagai said that the final schedule of dates for the release of cut-offs for the merit-based entrance exam of the University and for its entrance exams will depend on the revised academic calendar of the UGC. It will also depend on the dates of the NEET and JEE examinations.

Ms. Bagai said that the University will use the final mark sheet that will be provided by the Board. The calculations in the final mark sheet will be based on the algorithms determined by the Board. This decision has been taken since so many students were unable to complete some or many papers.

A final call in this matter will be taken by the DU admissions committee. But Ms. Bagai said that there were very few chances of a change in this process.

Nearly 3.8 lakh registrations for admissions into undergraduate courses have taken place so far. There are close to 1.5 lakh registrations for the postgraduate courses. For the MPhil and PhD courses, there are about 27,031 registrations till now.
