More than 500 assistant professors are going to be permanently appointed in about 12 colleges of Delhi University. All these colleges are funded by the Delhi Government. At present, among these fully funded colleges, Deendayal Upadhyay College, and Acharya Narendradev College have issued advertisements for permanent appointment of assistant professors in various departments.
These colleges have issued advertisements for 87 posts in various departments. Before this, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Science had also advertised 49 posts of teachers.
With the release of advertisements for these colleges, the way for permanent appointments has been opened for other colleges of the Delhi Government too. Where appointments were closed for the last decade.
Dr. Hansraj Suman, Chairman of the Forum of Academics for Social Justice, Delhi University, said that advertisements for the posts of Assistant Professor will soon be issued in 9 colleges also.

The rosters of other colleges have gone to the university administration to get approved. Advertisements will be released as soon as the rosters are passed. Moreover, the process of permanent appointment has been going on at Delhi University for the last one and a half years. More than 30 colleges have completed the process of permanent appointment and the appointment process is going on in more than 15 colleges.
Till now, permanent teachers have been appointed to 3,100 posts in these colleges and departments. Acharya Narendradev and Deendayal Upadhyay College have taken the initiative to fill the posts of Assistant Professor.
