On Thursday, Delhi University Teachers’ Association said that students are not able to do registration for CoA or College of Art through the university portal of the National Testing Agency (NTA). They can’t register as the college is not visible in the list of all colleges.
Further, AK Bhagi, DUTA president wrote in the letter to DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh that candidates should get the option to apply for admission to the College of Arts. Accordingly, the NTA portal must be updated soon. And students should get an extension of the last date for registration. Besides, the College of Arts provides admission in bachelor’s and master’s courses or programs in fine arts.
DUTA also demands that the administration of CoA should start admission for the academic session 2021-22. DU VC remarked that the College of Arts is a university affiliated college but its admission is done separately.

Earlier, in March 2021, the government announced the CoA affiliation with Ambedkar University. This announcement was made because CoA was confronting some problems.
The admission had not been conducted for academic sessions 2021-22. This is because the Delhi government and Delhi University quarrel over the affiliation of the college. So, DUTA wrote, “The candidates who are seeking admission in Bachelor of Fine Arts or Master in Fine Arts are not able to register on an online portal. Moreover, the varsity didn’t provide NOC for merging CoA with Ambedkar University.”
DUTA Asks To Update The NTA Portal For Registration For CoA
DUTA said that students must get the option of applying to courses under CoA. And, the NTA portal should get updated shortly. Accordingly, extend the date for registration. In addition, he said, “From the beginning, CoA admissions are done independently. As it is DU affiliated college and it makes no sense why this demand is being raised now. It is entirely not right that a whole batch of sessions can’t take admission to this college of DU.
