On the question of suspending neet and other examinations, the Central Government on Friday clarified in the Lok Sabha that there is no such plan. In a written reply to a question, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar said, “The central government has no plan to discontinue NEET and other common entrance examinations.”

The Health Minister said that the National Medical Entrance Examinations will be held on 12th and 11th September 2021 for both Bath and Masters courses respectively.

Panwar said that the examinations will be performed following all the precautions and covid-19 appropriate behavior.

The Lok Sabha was told that along with the admit cards, an e-pass would also be given so that the students could move freely. The number of test centers has been expanded.

The examination centers have been instructed to use separate gates for entry and exit. It will be mandatory for the candidates to wear face masks during this period. Necessary steps will be taken to control the crowd at the examination centers.

The temperature of all the candidates will be checked at the entrance of the examination centers. If the temperature of a candidate is found to be above normal, then he will be given the facility to take the examination in the isolation lab.
