The University Grants Commission announced for the universities. It has asked the universities not to conduct offline exams in May. UGC passed an official statement.

So, it said that it is not safe for anyone to come and appear for offline exams. Health is the most important thing. Moreover, universities can conduct online exams after analyzing the local condition.

UNIVERSITY CAN CONDUCT ONLINE EXAMS

If the universities think that they are ready to hold online exams, they can go for it. Moreover, they must adhere to all the instructions and guidelines. The state government, central government, Education Ministry, and the UGC have issued the guidelines. 

GUIDELINES OF UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION

So, the guidelines are University Grants Commission are:

  • The Education Ministry denied the conduction of offline exams in May.
  • They would review the condition and decision in June.
  • Nobody can gather inside the campus.

PHYSICAL GATHERING IS NOT ALLOWED

UGC said that Universities must follow the decision keeping given the COVID-19 pandemic. They must not hold offline exams in may and avoid physical gatherings. Nobody should gather inside the premises. Moreover, universities and institutions must provide relief to the students, faculty, and staff.

So, the decision of the UGC is only for central universities. State-run and private universities are also included. So, most of the states and central universities have postponed the exams now.
