The appointment process for the posts of vacant teachers of assistant professors in colleges and departments affiliated to Delhi University (DU) has been started. For this, the screening of various subjects has been updated and made public.

In this order, after the completion of the screening process in the Department of Anthropology, a short listing of candidates has been announced and the date of the interview is October 8. 800 teachers are to be selected through this process.

Interviews for some other subjects like Hindi, Commerce, English, Political Science, History, Law, Chemistry, Physics, etc. can be taken in November next month.

For the last one year, due to lack of process for permanent appointments in colleges and departments, interviews have been held on October 8, 2020, in the Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room, Vice Regal Lodge, after screening the candidates in the Anthropology Department of the University of Delhi.

Professor Hansraj Suman, a former member of the Delhi University Academic Council, said, “DU’s colleges and departments are starting a long-term permanent appointment process. The Teachers’ Association welcomes it.

This has given hope to the leaders to complete their selection. Will be done in a way. This process should not stop. The appointment process has been judicially done. Applying the roster properly can result in an appointment. ”

Screening is going on after the university departments to investigate the process of starting permanent positions in colleges.

Recently, in the meeting of principals in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, they have been instructed to conduct interviews of all subjects as soon as possible within the advertisement deadline.

With the interview of the departments, the process of recruitment in colleges can start from the second week of November.

Presently Delhi University has released a screening list of 18 subjects. Screening is also being done after scrutiny in colleges. As soon as the college is screening its subjects, it will soon appoint vacant posts, moving the process of permanent posts on the basis of those subjects.

Candidates can now get the final notice directly from the college. The points to be determined by the screening committee and considered the same is final.

To start the process of permanent posts in colleges as soon as possible, the University of Delhi has directed the principals of the colleges to screen the candidates by the Central Screening Committee and get them uploaded on the college website.
