With 100% summer placements for its MBA batch 2020-2022, Indian Institute of Management-Vishakhapatnam (IIM-V) has set out great outcomes. The stipend for the top quartile stood at Rs 1.17 lakh, with a highest stipend at Rs.2 lakh and the top 10 percentile at Rs 1.46 lakh. The average stipend offered last year was Rs.62,264 which increased by 20.4% this year. More than 50 companies participated in the summer placement season, which was held on a rolling basis and made multiple offers.

As per officials of Indian Institute of Management-Vishakhapatnam, all previours records and benchmarks have been broken by this summer placement season.

Prof M Chandrasekhar, IIM-V (Indian Institute of Management-Vishakhapatnam) Director called it a fitting recognition of the talent of the students of the institute.

Director shared how he was not surprised at this record breaking performance as their students have also won various pan-India competitions often organised by different reputed b-school and institutes.

Professor Saroj Kumar Pani, Chairperson-CDS, said that the breadth of the recruiters has increased despite the  challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the depth of the roles for the summer internship program has also increased. The intention to match the student’s abilities and interests to recruiters’ requirements has made this possible, she added claiming it to be a win-win situation both ways.

The participation from companies from high-growth sectors like information technology, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), hospitality,  banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), EdTEch, and infrastructure have been witnessed.
