The Institute of Chartered Accountants, ICAI decided to hold the CA exams 2020 in November. The institute will hold the exam in 207 cities.
ICAI, that is, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is a statutory body. It is established by an act of Parliament, The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. However, it is done to regulate Chartered Accountants as a profession in India.
WHAT IS ICAI?
ICAI works under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, a part of the Government of India. It is the second-largest professional body of Chartered Accountants globally and it provides services to the Indian Economy in the public interest.
CA ASPIRANTS APPROACHED BJP LEADER TO POSTPONE CA EXAMS
Many CA aspirants approached the BJP Leader Subramanian Swamy and asked him to raise the matter of CA exams 2020. They said to raise the matter regarding the postponement of CA exams 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the President of ICAI said that the institution will not postpone exams now as it is not an option.
EXAMINATION COMMITTEE TOOK THE DECISION FOR CA EXAMS
BJP leader Swami said that he spoke to the President of ICAI regarding the possibility of postponing CA exams. Also, the members of the examination committee took this decision and he got no way to intervene in their decision. So, Swami denied to take the matter of postponing exams further.

CA EXAMS WOULD BEGIN IN NOVEMBER
Exams for CA aspirants will begin on 1 November 2020. The institute will hold the exams in 207 cities of India and 5 cities abroad. Finally, the exams would end on 18 November 2020.
