After the release of the DDMA order approving college reopenings, the most asked question is will DU reopen? Hence, the varsity has issued another office order in compliance with the DDMA order dated on 4th February 2022.

What does the DDMA order state?

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is solely responsible for the management of the covid-19 situation. Hence, witnessing the decreasing number of covid-19 cases, it decided to ease several restrictions. So, on, 4th February 2022, a meeting was organized chaired by Lt. Governor Anil Baijal. As per official orders, schools, colleges, coaching institutions, and gyms are given a green flag for reopening.

Will DU Reopen?

The DDMA guidelines have given the students a bleak hope of reopening. Hence, they are wondering that will DU reopen or not. Previously in 2021, the varsity clearly mentioned that they didn’t get a nod from DDMA on reopenings. But, it is not the case this time.

REOPEN DU: STUDENT’S PROTEST STILL CONTINUES

Thus, the official order released today stated that the varsity and its colleges shall be fully functional. Hence, all the non-teaching staff will have to attend their duties on working days physically. Also, the order clarified that online teaching and learning activities will continue as it is along with all the other academic programs. Thus, the academic calendar will be followed and everything will be followed digitally.

DU COLLEGE PERMANENT TEACHERS WILL BE APPOINTED SOON, CIRCULATES UNIVERSITY

As for the employees, they will wear masks at all times while working. For meetings, the preferred mode of conduction is video conferencing. Thus, personal meetings would be avoided unless it is necessary for the public interest. All the college principals and heads of departments will make sure that the staff sticks to orders and guidelines issued by DDMA.
